Marian has practised as a solicitor on the Island since she qualified in 1977. She joined Eldridges in 1983 and was a partner in the firm until 2010.
Marian likes to takes time to get to know her clients: over the past 38 years she has acted for generations of the same families. She listens carefully to their concerns and gives practical, sympathetic advice. She is proud to be known as a traditional family solicitor, yet she relishes the advantages modern technology offers to look after the interests of her clientele.
Marian recognises that it is often only at times of great worry and stress that people seek legal advice, so a solicitors’ office can feel quite daunting. While having a vast range of experience, she never forgets that each client is an individual, and their circumstances are unique.
Marian deals with buying and selling property and land; Wills; Estates of the Deceased; Powers of Attorney; and Court of Protection Deputyship Applications. She specialises in the affairs of the elderly and is a member of both Solicitors for the Elderly, a national association of solicitors that specialises in advising elderly clients, and The Society of Tax and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
